He completed all 2018 Primary 6 Mathematics test paper on November 27, 2021 with an average score of: SA1: 82.58% and SA2: 85.5% . Total: 28x test. As SA2 is the preliminary examination, his expected PSLE score for Mathematics shall be AL2 (for now).  He has 3 more years to hone his skills further. All the best.

How a primary 3 student solve the 6x PSLE 2021 Mathematics questions?

I asked my boy (Primary 3) to solve the 6x PSLE 2021 Mathematics questions.  He got 4x out of 6x correct by himself and 2x with my help initially at the start. Thereafter, he was able to complete the question correctly too. : ) In total, I gave him 80% marks for the 6x PSLE 2021 questions. As for the famous Helen and Ivan question,  he got it correct! His way of solving was kind of interesting.  Below were his works for the first 5x questions. He needs to learn how to present his procedures properly/neatly/clearly.  He has 2+ years to improve on presentation. This is the number 6th question, which he got it right too. Not bad. :) Good thinking. All the answers below were taken from Maths Heuristics .  You can watch all the 6x video clips at their Facebook page link below. They are very good videos, showing the steps by steps procedure to the answer.  Good learning for everyone!   https://fb.watch/8yBz1tug9w/ In short, these questions are not difficult...

LEGO

These are the LEGO that we bought or received as gifts. I shall find out how much we spent on these toys for the past 6 years.  Birthday gift from his grandmother. Christmas gift from his aunt. Christmas gift from his aunt. Christmas gift from his aunt. FREE GIFT. Pretty good buy from IKEA. :) I like it.

Wonderful articles from The Straits Times: How to motivate the unmotivated

Many wonderful smart parenting articles at The Straits Times today (August 1st, 2021), how to motivate the unmotivated ! Key Takeaways: When a person thinks he or she can do it, his or her motivation will increase. Every child is good at something. Look for the good in him or her because that gives him or her hope and encourages the child.  Providing practical examples of how a lesson topic relates to real life may give the child a reason to pay attention in class. Grades should be viewed as a form of information and feedback on how students are doing.

Completed Primary 6 Mathematics !

Singapore Mathematics curriculum is not difficult. He is now in Primary 3 but completed Primary 6 Mathematics today (June 5, 2021). My job is done! It took us 4 years 8 months to complete 6 years of Primary School Mathematics contents. What a perseverance! :) We only used the Intensive Maths Drills series . This is the best Mathematics series in Singapore. I don't use textbooks. He started Primary 1 Mathematics when he was in Nursery 2 on November 17th 2016 . :) I actually spent a good 18-months to complete Primary 1 Mathematics with him. There were no test papers given for Primary 1 and 2. I would say, the toughest Mathematics is in Primary 5 , followed by Primary 3 and 6.  The easiest level is in Primary 4 .  Yes, he has 26x Primary 6 test papers to be completed by the end of this year. He managed to cope the Primary 6 Mathematics materials well and I would give him 8.5 out of 10 .  Hopefully, by the time he is in Primary 6, it becomes 9.5 out of 10. No perfec...
