Completed Primary 6 Mathematics !

Singapore Mathematics curriculum is not difficult. He is now in Primary 3 but completed Primary 6 Mathematics today (June 5, 2021). My job is done! It took us 4 years 8 months to complete 6 years of Primary School Mathematics contents. What a perseverance! :) We only used the Intensive Maths Drills series . This is the best Mathematics series in Singapore. I don't use textbooks. He started Primary 1 Mathematics when he was in Nursery 2 on November 17th 2016 . :) I actually spent a good 18-months to complete Primary 1 Mathematics with him. There were no test papers given for Primary 1 and 2. I would say, the toughest Mathematics is in Primary 5 , followed by Primary 3 and 6.  The easiest level is in Primary 4 .  Yes, he has 26x Primary 6 test papers to be completed by the end of this year. He managed to cope the Primary 6 Mathematics materials well and I would give him 8.5 out of 10 .  Hopefully, by the time he is in Primary 6, it becomes 9.5 out of 10. No perfec...

Singapore & Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2021 Primary 3

He participated Singapore & Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2021 Primary 3 and got a Silver medal . Silver 214, school rank 7th, country rank 192th, global rank 214th. Good try, keep it up! SASMO 2021 Results – Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad

Singapore Math Kangaroo Contest (SMKC) 2021 Primary 3

He participated Singapore Math Kangaroo Contest 2021 Primary 3 and only got a Bronze medal .  Bronze6 , school rank 12th , country rank 170th. SMKC is a unique competition, and it is different from the other math competitions. Its syllabus is less advanced than other Olympiad competition s, and students can compete without any special training or advanced knowledge. Nevertheless, he didn't know how to do one question and decided to leave it blank instead of putting an answer simply because answering wrong will minus points. :(  I think he also made some careless mistakes along the way. Never mind, good try, keep it up! SMKC 2021 Results – Singapore Math Kangaroo Contest

Taekwondo Kyung Hee

What is the best age to introduce Taekwondo to your kid ? My boy started  Taekwondo when he was 6 years old.  I personally think 6 to 7 years old is a good starting age.  Why learn Taekwondo ? Self defense especially during the national service, you won't have a chance to get bullied? Do you dare to bully a BLACK belt Taekwondo man? Think twice . To keep the body fit and leg's muscle strong? More disciplined? Be more man? More macho? Protect your girl? You name it. We chose Taekwondo Kyung Hee. No specific reason. We got 35% discount for 12 months lessons. Usual price, monthly fee S$160 x 12 months = S$1,920. With 35% discount, we paid S$1,248 . There are 4 classes (average) per month, hence S$26 per one hour session . Once they are in GREEN belt, they will have additional one hour session of sparring. That's when they need to put on gears and do sparring.  The objective of sparring is not fighting .  It is to make both you and your partner better. You should...
